God of War Ragnarok is finally due to hit shelves this November, and fans think they’ve spotted Fenrir in the game’s latest CGI trailer. But who exactly is Fenrir, and what could he mean for Kratos and Atreus?
Following the incredible success of the 2018 reboot, it’s no surprise that God of War Ragnarok is one of the most anticipated games of the year. Kratos’ journey into Norse mythology with his son Atreus struck a chord with millions of players, who have been hungry for more details ever since the sequel was revealed.
They finally got their wishes when Sony announced that Ragnarok will launch on November 9, 2022, along with a new trailer. The short CGI clip didn’t give us much more to go on, but fans think they spotted a key Norse figure named Fenrir.
But who is Fenrir in God of War Ragnarok and what role could they play in the story?
Who is Fenrir in Norse mythology?Who is Fenrir in God of War? Who is Fenrir in Norse mythology? Traditionally, Fenrir is one of the three children belonging to the trickster god, Loki, along with Jormungandr and Hel.
The end of the “Father and Son” God of War Ragnarok trailer shows Kratos and Atreus standing in the shadow of a large wolf. Those clued up on their Norse mythology have pointed out that there’s a good chance that this character could actually be Fenrir, who does appear as a wolf in Norse myth.

We did, however, meet Jormungandr, better known as The World Serpent who played a key role in the game.

Who is Fenrir in God of War? At the end of God of War, we learn that Atreus is Loki in this version of the mythology, meaning it’s likely that Fenrir is actually Atreus’ son, as is The World Serpent.
It hasn’t been explained just yet how Atreus is able to meet his children before they are born. Jormungandr mentioned that Atreus looks familiar when they first meet, hinting that the characters are part of some kind of paradox.
Read more: Starfield: Release date window, platforms, latest news & gameplay The new trailer frames Fenrir as a villain that Kratos and Atreus will have to fight, but based on what we know from the source material, it’s highly likely that he will become an ally as the two navigate Ragnarok.
Of course, we won’t know for sure what role Fenrir will play in God of War Ragnarok until we get our hands on the game. Sony Santa Monica have adapted the source material in a number of ways, so they could have a curveball for us come November.

Icon cards are a staple of the Ultimate Team mode and they’ll be making a return in FIFA 23. Here’s a list of returning Icons and a sneak peek at new Icons that leaks suggest will make their way to the game.
There’s nothing quite as exhilarating as packing an Icon card in Ultimate Team. FIFA 23 players will get the chance to do so once more as the legendary figures should continue to feature in Ultimate Team.
With every FIFA release the list of Icons available continues to grow and FIFA 23 will be no different. EA Sports tend to add around four new Icons per game, and leaks have revealed who these players could be.
Here’s everything you need to know about Icon cards in FIFA 23.
What are Icon cards in FIFA 23?FIFA 23 expected Icon cards What are Icon cards in FIFA 23? Icon cards honor the best players to grace the pitch throughout football history. For starters, there are three versions of each Icon card: base, mid, and prime. Each version is an ode to the player’s career from when they entered the scene to when they achieved global superstardom.

In addition, they will provide strong links to players who share the same nation, which makes them ideal for building hybrid squads.
FIFA 22 Icons are difficult to find in packs, but it’s not impossible. If luck isn’t on your side, you’ll have an opportunity to secure Icons as EA tend to add Icon SBCs later in the year.

— Donk ? (@DonkTrading) June 7, 2022 Two Icons were removed from FIFA 22 for various reasons and it’s expected that Diego Maradona and Marc Overmars will also be absent in FIFA 23. Players can expect the same selection of Icon cards from FIFA 22 to carry over to FIFA 23.
EA usually add a few new faces each year. In FIFA 22, players received Wayne Rooney, Iker Casillas, Cafu, and Robin Van Persie.

Only time will tell if these leaks are accurate, but Zico, Di Stefano, and Muller all made a lasting impact on the beautiful game, which solidifies their chances of being deemed Icons in FIFA 23.

The God of War franchise has been a staple of Sony’s PlayStation console for years, but with a particular platform growing in popularity, many are wondering if God of War Ragnarok will be on PC.
With 2022 halfway behind us we’ve seen the release of some fantastic titles in the first half of the year including Elden Ring, Sniper Elite 5, and V Rising. Thankfully, the second half is shaping up to be just as spectacular for players, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and the highly anticipated God of War Ragnarok on the horizon.
In particular, God of War Ragnarok is one that has players excited given wait has been a long one for fans of the franchise. Before you get too excited about getting your hands on the game, we’re here to let you know if God of War Ragnarok is coming to PC.
Is God of War Ragnarok coming to PC? At launch, God of War Ragnarok will not be available on PC. When the highly anticipated game is released to the public on November 9, 2022, it will only be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Given that the PlayStation 5 has been around for almost two years, some may be surprised to see that God of War Ragnarok will also be available on PlayStation 4. However, this is likely a calculated decision that has factored in PS5 console shortages and overall low supply.
Read more: Who is Fenrir in God of War Ragnarok? Despite its strong ties to Sony and their proprietary consoles, this does not mean that God of War Ragnarok cannot become available on PC post-launch.
Fans of the franchise will recall that God of War (2018) also launched as a PlayStation exclusive, but was then ported to PC at a later date.
While no God of War Ragnarok PC port has been confirmed yet, it isn’t completely out of the equation if we take its predecessor as an example.
